This Litestep theme was made to work on Windows 8 using n-modules by Erik Welander (alurcard2)

To run LS on Windows 8 I used:

- LOSI installer [link]
- LiteStep 0.25.0 "Alpha" [link]
- n-modules (included in the pack) [link]
- Visual C++ runtimes [link]

To set Litestep as default shell I changed this in the registry using regedit.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESoftwareMicrosoftWindows NTCurrent VersionWinlogin

Set the "Shell" Value data field to your litestep.exe path. For example: C:LiteSteplitestep.exe

Note: One problem I have using LS on WIN8 is that the WIN+E shortcut that is supposed to open the file manager is throwing me to the new "tiles homescreen". This results in not being able to get back to the desktop by any other means then a relog so don't use this command.

--- UPDATE! Found a workaround for the problem stated above. ---

Rebind the WIN+E hotkey in "hotkey.rc" to a specific path (for example: C:Litestep) to get rid of the problem and now it works like a charm.

Example from my hotkey.rc:

*Hotkey WIN E "C:UsersPatrikDesktop"
*Hotkey WIN D !MinimizeWindows

Might be you will not experiense this bug but I wanted to give you a heads up.

Really love your theme, though i was finding issues with the heart icon and found a bug

in the theme.rc file, edit the line:

tshort2onleftclick "$short1$"

to make it:

tshort2onleftclick "$short2$"

Could u kindly make a rainmeter slideshow whose frame looks the same as the Computer Monitor at the top of this pic?and provide it with a pause and forward & backward options?

I am sorry but I will not be making a rm theme that looks like that but feel free to make one if you like the screen is from samsung and there should be high def pictures of it out there.

I would say overall just fine. Some hiccups but I had all of them on windows 7 as well.
